Job summary

VGW is seeking a Senior Accountant to own group-level accounting and monthly financial reporting in NetSuite from Sydney. You will partner across the business to manage vendor payment forecasting, operational finance, and drive process improvements.

The role requires 4+ years in accounting or audit, a CA/CPA/ACCA/CIMA credential, and strong IFRS/AASB knowledge with hands-on NetSuite experience and advanced Excel skills.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Finance team in Sydney and are currently looking for a Senior Accountant to join the team.

In this role, you will take ownership of group-level accounting and monthly financial reporting in NetSuite, while partnering across the business to manage vendor payment forecasting, operational finance, and continuous process improvements.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Leading the month-end close and consolidation process for the group in NetSuite, including GL reconciliations, accruals, and intercompany settlements.
• Analysing key vendors and building rolling accounts payable forecasts to support cash flow management and working capital optimisation.
• Acting as the primary finance contact for external audits, statutory compliance, and annual reporting requirements.
• Driving NetSuite system enhancements, automation initiatives, and finance process improvements across Australian operations.

What you will bring to the role:

• 4+ years of accounting or audit experience, gained within an accounting firm or a commercial corporate environment.
• CA, CPA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification, backed by a relevant tertiary degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Solid technical accounting knowledge of IFRS and AASB standards, with hands-on experience in group financial reporting and complex reconciliations.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite (or a comparable ERP system) alongside advanced Excel modeling and financial analysis skills.
• Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to exercise independent judgement and drive procedural improvements.
