Job summary

GPL Partners is seeking an experienced Senior Business Services Accountant in Australia to manage a portfolio of clients, deliver accounting, taxation and advisory services, and mentor junior staff.

You will work with Xero and cloud-based platforms to prepare financial statements, tax returns, BAS/IAS and liaise with authorities, while managing deadlines and client expectations.

Qualifications

• 4-5+ years' experience in Australian public practice
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent
• CA, CPA or currently working towards qualification
• Strong experience preparing financial statements and tax returns
• Strong knowledge of Australian taxation and compliance
• Experience with Xero and cloud-based accounting/tax platforms
• Excellent attention to detail and a high standard of work
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities
• The confidence to work independently while contributing to a team
