Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a public practice accounting firm.
  • Qualified accountant (CA/CPA).
  • Proficient in Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, ATO Portal, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare all types of client tax returns.
  • Prepare Activity Statements and Super Guarantee Charge statements.
  • Prepare monthly accounts and financial statements.
  • Process client payroll.
  • Review work completed by peers to ensure accuracy.
  • Manage client communications.

Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant who will be responsible for managing and delivering high-quality accounting and taxation services to clients, including preparation of tax returns, activity statements, payroll, and financial reporting. This role also involves reviewing work from peers and managing client relationships to ensure compliance and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare all types of client tax returns
  • Prepare Activity Statements and Super Guarantee Charge (SGC) statements
  • Prepare monthly accounts and financial statements
  • Process client payroll and assist with SGC requirements
  • Review work completed by peers to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Manage client work and communications
  • Provide guidance and support to junior staff
Required Experience & Skills
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a public practice accounting firm
  • Qualified accountant (CA/CPA)
  • Proficient in Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, ATO Portal, and MS Office
  • Strong client payroll and bookkeeping experience
  • Excellent time management, efficiency, and communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
