Job summary

Findex Bathurst is seeking an enthusiastic Senior Accountant to join the Business Advisory Services Team on a permanent, full-time basis. This role emphasizes strong communication, collaboration, and a focus on exceptional client outcomes.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail with excellent prioritisation skills.
• Proven experience in public practice business advisory accounting.
• CA or CPA qualified or working towards it (preferred but not essential).
• Strong Excel skills and experience with Xero, MYOB or other cloud tools.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality and efficient accounting services across a diverse client base.
• Attend meetings with managers and partners to submit completed work.
• Prepare business advice, tax returns, business activity statements, financial statements and reconciliations for companies, partnerships, trusts and individuals.
• Complete jobs efficiently while meeting technical standards, deadlines, and budgets.
• Assist with general bookkeeping duties and client correspondence.
• Act as liaison with the ATO and other government bodies on client matters.
• Maintain up‑to‑date technical knowledge to ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
