Job summary

Bayside Health is seeking experienced mental health professionals for the Alfred Infant Child and Youth Area Mental Health and Wellbeing Service in Moorabbin. The role focuses on intake, triage, and integrated pathways for children and youth and involves collaboration with families and local networks.

We welcome applicants with 5+ years of clinical experience, AHPRA eligibility, and a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Approved tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline and eligibility for AHPRA membership.
• Minimum 5 years’ clinical experience.
• Desirable: Developmental Psychiatry Course or equivalent.
• Training and experience in providing child and youth mental health services.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and research in mental health.

Responsibilities

• Manage referrals to the service with a timely, compassionate and supportive response with families/caregivers.
• Undertake intake assessments (triage and crisis responses) and allocate referrals for best outcomes.
• Conduct single-session primary consultations and brief interventions.
• Provide secondary consultations to external services and develop partnerships.
