Job summary

Voyager Technologies seeks a Senior CNC Programmer onsite in Penrose, CO, with transition to Pueblo, CO, reporting to the Machining and Fabrication Manager. You will program, set up, and operate advanced 5-axis CNC equipment to produce aerospace-grade parts.

Candidates must have SolidWorks CAM expertise, experience with exotic alloys like Inconel, and a track record of first-part success. This role supports automation and lights-out manufacturing.

Qualifications

• SolidWorks CAM proficiency for 5-axis milling and mill-turn operations.
• Experience machining exotic alloys like Inconel, Titanium, and Stainless Steel to tight tolerances.
• Hands-on programming, setup and operation of multi-axis turning centers with live tooling.
• Ability to solve complex machining problems with minimal supervision in a fast-paced startup env.
• Eligibility to pass FBI/DoD background check and obtain Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Create efficient SolidWorks CAM programs for 5-axis mill and mill-turn ops.
• Design fixtures and tooling in SolidWorks to support precision production.
• Program, set up, and operate live-tooling lathes with Y-axis capability.
• Execute true 5-axis strategies with gouge checking and toolpath optimization.
• Develop manufacturing processes from drawing to finished parts; troubleshoot to first-part success.
• Build and maintain machine models and simulate multi-axis setups for safety and accuracy.
• Support transition to automation-focused facility and lights-out manufacturing.
