Seeking Educators for Lead roles at Paisley Park Templestowe

Paisley Park Early Learning Centres – Templestowe VIC

Paisley Park is a family-oriented, privately owned early learning provider with a proud history spanning more than 30 years. We are passionate about delivering high-quality early childhood education and fostering a culture of collaboration, professional learning and continuous improvement.

We value strong, meaningful partnerships with our local community, including families, schools, allied health professionals and registered professional training organisations. These connections enrich children’s learning experiences and support our team’s professional growth.

Paisley Park is committed to being a Child Safe Organisation where every child feels safe, respected, included and valued. We expect all team members to share and uphold these values, prioritising child safety, wellbeing and the protection of every child in our care.

Our employment vacancies

We are seeking passionate, dedicated and motivated Early Childhood Educators and Leaders to join our team at our beautiful, purpose-built, 120-place Long Day Care Centre in Templestowe. Our Centre is a valued part of the local community, supported by a strong and collaborative team led by experienced professionals who prioritise respectful, reciprocal relationships with children and families.

Designed to support high-quality education and care, our stunning Centre features generous teaching and learning spaces, excellent resources, lift access and a fully enclosed, secure basement car park. Our facilities have been extensively updated and renovated to create a welcoming, functional and inspiring environment for children, families and Educators alike.

Tasks and Responsibilities

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about early childhood education, committed to professional excellence and eager to contribute to a positive, inclusive and collaborative workplace culture.

For applicants pursuing leadership roles, these are available in a variety of areas, but we expect candidates to take responsibility for mentoring and supporting Educators, establishing meaningful professional goals, strengthening teaching practices, and ensuring educational programs reflect children’s strengths, interests, cultural identities, and emerging development.

We value Educators from diverse professional and personal backgrounds who bring different perspectives, skills and experiences to our team. At Paisley Park, we believe every team member deserves to feel valued, respected and supported in their contribution.

Above all, we seek Educators who genuinely love working with children and are enthusiastic about creating engaging learning experiences that nurture curiosity, confidence, wellbeing and a lifelong love of learning.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Educational program and practice: Implement, evaluate, and continuously improve educational programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standard (NQS), particularly Quality Area 1. This is particularly important if you are a qualified early childhood teacher seeking a lead role in our over-3-year-old room.
  • Reflective practice: Engage in critical reflection, self-assessment and continuous improvement to strengthen educational outcomes.
  • Professional collaboration: Be receptive to constructive feedback, share knowledge and contribute to the professional growth of colleagues and the wider team.
  • Mentoring and leadership: Facilitate team discussions, reflective practice sessions and professional learning opportunities, while supporting Educators to strengthen their knowledge and teaching practices.
  • Compliance and documentation: Support Educators in meeting regulatory requirements, maintaining accurate documentation and completing appropriate assessment and planning processes.
  • Quality improvement: Contribute to the development and implementation of the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) and support the Centre’s ongoing readiness for assessment and rating.
  • Professional knowledge: Stay informed about current research, legislation, regulatory requirements and best practice in early childhood education.
  • Family and community partnerships: Build respectful, collaborative relationships with families, schools, allied health professionals and other external stakeholders.
  • Child advocacy and inclusion: Champion children’s rights, voices, wellbeing, inclusion and individual needs.
  • Responsive curriculum: Ensure educational programs reflect children’s interests, strengths, cultural identities and emerging capabilities.
  • Child safety and wellbeing: Promote safe, nurturing, inclusive and stimulating learning environments in accordance with applicable Child Safe Standards and safeguarding requirements.
  • Community engagement: Participate in our Community Engagement Program, strengthening connections with local schools, organisations and the wider community.
  • Professional accountability: Actively participate in performance reviews, probationary processes, appraisals, SMART goal setting and professional development planning, demonstrating a commitment to measurable growth and continuous improvement.
