Fusion5 is seeking an experienced Security Technical Lead to join our Managed Services team in Australia. This role blends hands-on technical leadership with customer advisory, governance and practice development responsibilities across security engagements.

You'll guide security strategy, lead complex initiatives and mentor consultants, shaping the future of Fusion5's Security Practice and delivering value to enterprise clients.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience delivering Microsoft Security solutions in enterprise environments.
• Background in Managed Services, Consulting, Professional Services or SI.
• Proven track record leading complex security engagements with strong technical outcomes.
• Strong customer-facing consulting and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience mentoring technical teams and driving capability development.
• Microsoft Security certifications such as SC-100, SC-200, SC-300, SC-400 or AZ-500.
• Australian Security Clearance (Baseline/NV1) or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Lead security assessments, remediation programs and strategic customer initiatives.
• Provide technical governance across managed services and project delivery.
• Advise customers on security strategy, risk management, compliance and best practice.
• Build trusted customer relationships and influence positive security outcomes.

Fusion5 is seeking an experienced and highly engaged Security Technical Lead to join our growing Managed Services team, based in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane. This is a unique opportunity to combine hands-on technical leadership with customer advisory, governance and practice development responsibilities.

As the senior technical leader within our Security Practice, you'll provide guidance across security consulting and managed service engagements, mentor consultants, support major customer initiatives, and drive technical excellence across the board.

What you'll do

You'll bring a rare mix of technical depth and consulting instinct comfortable making architectural calls and stepping back into delivery when it counts, but just as comfortable translating that technical detail into business terms and coaching a team to work through problems themselves. Act as the senior technical escalation point for complex security challenges.

• Extensive experience delivering Microsoft Security solutions in enterprise environments.
• Background within Managed Services, Consulting, Professional Services or a Systems Integrator.
• A proven track record leading complex security engagements to strong technical outcomes.
• Strong customer-facing consulting and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience mentoring technical teams and driving capability development.
• Microsoft Security certifications such as SC-100, SC-200, SC-300, SC-400 or AZ-500.
• Australian Security Clearance (Baseline/NV1), or the ability to obtain one.

Technical expertise

You'll bring deep experience across Microsoft Security technologies, including Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Purview, Defender for Cloud and Azure Security Services. You'll also carry strong knowledge of security frameworks and governance standards such as Essential Eight, Zero Trust, NIST, CIS Controls, DISP and ISM.
