Job summary

Millennium Services Group in Tasmania is seeking a highly motivated Security Supervisor to manage a busy site in Eastlands TAS. The role requires expertise in site security, building management systems, and fire control systems, with responsibilities including leading a team, managing CCTV operations, and maintaining client relationships.

We offer a full-time position with a Monday-Friday 0900-1700 shift, focusing on safety, risk mitigation, and effective communication.

Qualifications

• Valid Security Licence is required.
• Basic First Aid and CPR certification required.
• Security supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Retail environment experience is highly regarded.
• Reliable transportation preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage client relationships and stakeholders on site.
• Proven track record of reliability and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead a team of Security Officers.
• Overseeing the site-based control room and CCTV system.
• Manage the client relationship on site and report up to regional manager.
• Assess and mitigate risks on site.
• Respond to calls for assistance and respond to alarm events.
• Implement effective strategies for engaging with persons of interest.
• Communicate effectively with all persons whilst on-duty.
• Use communication systems including portable two-way radios.
• Provide advice, directions and display a willingness to assist all persons whilst on-duty.
• Promote and maintain workplace health and safety.
• Input data on site/client systems, as required by site SOPs.
• Recruit and train new employees.

The role requires an experienced individual with excellent knowledge in site security, building management systems and fire control systems, and the application of standard operating procedures.

Monday-Friday: 0900-1700

Duties & Responsibilities include:

Key Selection Criteria:

• Valid Security Licence is a must
