Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a SOC Monitoring and Response Analyst II to join the Security Operations Center. The role focuses on using SIEM, threat monitoring, and high-risk controls to detect, triage, and respond to security events across our global environment.

You will analyze alerts, build dashboards, and collaborate with various teams to remediate vulnerabilities, while staying current with evolving cyber threats and attack vectors.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of cyber security experience.
• Experience with cloud security (Azure Sentinel, AWS, Splunk Cloud).
• Solid understanding of cyber security concepts.
• Security certifications preferred or plan to obtain within year.
• Networking fundamentals knowledge.
• Experience with Windows, UNIX and Linux (preferred).
• BS in Information Systems/Cyber Security or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Support security functions within SOC (SIEM, Firewalls, IDS/IPS, DLP, email protection, malware analysis).
• Identify alerts, prioritize and investigate security issues in a fast-paced environment.
• Create dashboards and reports to support internal security audits.
• Collaborate with business units and application owners to resolve security issues.
• Stay on the cutting edge of physical and cyber threats.
• Provide proactive feedback to senior personnel and management.
