Millennium Services Group in Brisbane is seeking a Security Officer to operate in a high-security government environment, delivering access control, CCTV monitoring and front-line security with strong customer service.

The role is casual with Day/Night shifts, requiring a current Security Licence, NV1 clearance and First Aid/CPR. Rotating roster includes weekends and public holidays, with Australian working rights.

Qualifications

• Current Security Licence and NV1 clearance required.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• Experience in a government/Defence security environment.
• Full Australian working rights.
• Rotating day/night shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.
• Ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Defence veterans encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Manage the arrival and departure of personnel, visitors, and contractors on site.
• Maintain accurate visitor and contractor registers and records.
• Issue and manage access control credentials, including visitor and contractor passes.
• Monitor and review CCTV footage, including accessing historical footage when required.
• Operate walk-through and handheld metal detection equipment.
• Maintain a professional, approachable, and highly visible security presence.
• Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, incidents, emergencies, and requests for assistance.
• Identify, assess, and manage security risks in accordance with site procedures and company policies.
• Ensure compliance with all site-specific and organisational security protocols.
• Complete incident reports and maintain accurate records and documentation.
