Job summary

MSS Security is seeking casual Security Officers to join our team at a refinery in the Geelong area. The role focuses on safety, security and delivering exceptional service to operations and personnel.

Ideal candidates have security experience in high-surveillance or industrial settings, strong communication skills, and are prepared for on-site shadow shifts and medical clearance. A valid Victorian licence and MSIC are required or in progress.

Qualifications

• Experience in security, especially high-surveillance or industrial environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communications.
• Competent computer skills.
• Willing to participate in on-site shadow shift and complete medical clearance.

Responsibilities

• Remain alert and observe surroundings to identify and report potential risks or suspicious behaviours.
• Monitor CCTV footage, access control and radio communication systems.
• Write incident reports and record occurrences where required.

About the role

Duties include but are not limited to

• Remain alert and observe surroundings to identify and report potential risks or suspicious behaviours.
• Monitor CCTV footage, access control and radio communication systems.
• Write incident reports and record occurrences where required.
• Conduct foot and vehicle patrols.
• Provide exceptional customer service.

Ideal candidates will have

• Previous experience working in security, particularly in high-surveillance or industrial environments.
• Excellent communications skills - written and verbal.
• Competent computer skills required.
• Willing to participate in an on-site shadow shift and complete a medical clearance.

Requirements

• Full Australian Working Rights.
• Victorian Security Licence (control room activity advantageous).
• Certificate II in Security Operations (or higher).
• Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
• Valid Victorian Drivers Licence.
• Current MSIC or willing to obtain.
• Availability to work a rotating 24/7 roster.
• Master License Number: 409-987-30S
