Job summary

RACV Royal Pines Resort on the Gold Coast is seeking a Casual Security Officer to support a 4-5 star resort environment. You will help maintain a safe, secure atmosphere for guests and staff while patrolling the property and monitoring access points.

Join a trusted Australian brand and contribute to guest experiences, events, and daily operations. The role requires flexibility to cover mornings, afternoons, and night shifts within a rotating roster.

Qualifications

• Valid QLD Security Licence (incl. Crowd Controller & Monitoring).
• Driver's Licence.
• First Aid/CPR, WWCC Blue Card, RSA Certificate.
• Flexibility to work a 7-day rotating roster (including mornings, afternoons, nights).

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and integrity of a secure workplace across a large resort.
• Crowd control for group arrivals, events, bars and restaurants.
• Traffic and parking control; monitor CCTV and alarm systems.
• Patrol property and respond to incidents; log and report.
• Liaise with emergency services when required.

About the Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Security Officer, to join our professional security team, who play a key role in our large resort operations. In the fast-paced environment of a resort, our dedicated team of Security Officers take pride in their responsibility to maintain and promote a safe and secure environment for all guests and employees.

Our security team monitor Royal Pines Resort, 24 hours/7 days week, working shift times 6am-2pm, 2-10pm & 10pm-6am. Reporting to the Safety & Security Supervisor, your key responsibilities include:

Building & maintaining positive working relationships with internal & external stakeholders, including staff, guests & contractors

Crowd control throughout the resort & property including group arrivals/departures, large conferences and events, bars & restaurants

Traffic & parking control

Patrolling the property and surveillance duties

Monitoring various systems incl. security, alarms, CCTV, and access point control

Check alarm systems and fire equipment

Maintain operation logs, accurate record keeping responding to incidents, investigation & report writing

Safeguarding company assets & managing security risks

Respond to emergency situations & liaise with emergency services

Maintaining the RACV values and culture

What you'll need to be successful

Valid QLD Security Licence (incl. Crowd Controller & Monitoring), Driver's Licence, First Aid/CPR, WWCC Blue Card, Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate, essential

• Full availability and a genuine committment to flexibly work a 7 day rotating roster including days 6am-2pm, afternoons 2pm-10pm, weekends & public holidays + occasional overnight shift 10pm-6am

Previous hotel security experience performing the above duties in a 4-5 star hotel/resort or similar work environment

Experienced in managing multiple systems including fire safety, CCTV, intruder alarms and access control

• Attention to detail, highly organised & excellent time management skills

Competent computer skills in MS Office applications & systems - email, daily log, auditing, incident report writing & communication

Experience responding to first aid emergencies, fire emergencies& safety situations, drills and use of equipment

• Excellent communication, decision making and negotiation skills, and maintaining effective working relationships with stakeholders

Work well in a team environment or be responsible to work autonomously,maintaining a friendly, professional and positive attitude

• Provide guests with a warm welcome and a consistent high standard of 5 star service
• Excellent personal presentation
