Job summary

ASIC is seeking a Security Governance & Assessment Officer to maintain protective security policies, plans and procedures and help ASIC meet reporting and information security obligations. You will deliver regular reporting on PSPF, monitor risk, conduct assessments and support the Insider Threat Mitigation Framework.

You will also analyse security data, generate insights, and contribute to governance through policy reviews and collaboration with internal stakeholders across the Chief Risk

Qualifications

• Experience in governance, investigation, risk management, audit and administration.
• Ability to interpret security requirements and translate technical information.
• Organised and able to work independently to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework.
• Strong IT literacy, data handling, reporting security metrics.
• Ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders and other agencies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Skills in risk management, project management and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Deliver regular reporting relating to the Australia Government Protective Security Policy Framework.
• Monitor security threat and risk environment and report identified risks.
• Conduct security threat and risk assessments and maintain threat database.
• Support Insider Threat Mitigation Framework assessments and investigations.
• Analyze protective security data, trends and KPIs; maintain dashboards.
• Undertake QA and governance activities including policy and procedure reviews.
