Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Security Engineering, Cyber Security, Infrastructure Security or related security role.
• Hands-on across cloud security, EDR, SIEM, network security, email security, SASE or vulnerability management.
• Proven ability to automate security processes using scripting, APIs and DevOps-style practices.
• Solid understanding of networking, identity, operating systems, cloud and SaaS security in hybrid environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and optimise security controls across on-premises, cloud and SaaS environments to improve security posture and reduce risk.
• Own and continuously enhance security platforms, ensuring they remain effective and aligned to business needs.
• Drive automation and integration initiatives using scripting, APIs and modern engineering practices to improve security operations and delivery.
• Support secure infrastructure and application change by providing technical guidance, assurance and security engineering expertise.
• Develop and tune monitoring, detection and response capabilities while supporting vulnerability remediation and secure configuration initiatives.
• Collaborate with architecture, engineering and business teams to embed security best practices and deliver measurable security outcomes.

Role Title: Security Engineer

Length: 6 Months

Daily Rate: $600 - $700 +Super

Location: Sydney CBD/WFH Hybrid

• 5+ years' experience in Security Engineering, Cyber Security, Infrastructure Security or a related technical security role.
• Strong hands-on experience across multiple security domains such as cloud security, EDR, SIEM, network security, email security, SASE or vulnerability management.
• Hands on experience with the MS Security stack, CrowdStrike and Netskope.
• Comfortable automating security processes using scripting, APIs and DevOps-style practices to improve efficiency and consistency.
• Solid understanding of networking, identity, operating systems, cloud and SaaS security within hybrid environments.
• Able to translate security, risk and compliance requirements into practical, scalable engineering outcomes.
