Qualifications

• Current TSPV clearance at time of application.
• Eligibility for ACT Security Licence Class 1A - Guarding.
• 1–3 years’ experience in security, facilities, or operational roles.
• High reliability, discretion, and clear communication.
• Sound understanding of WHS and physical security standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct facility opening and closing in line with approved SOPs.
• Perform inspections for safety, cleanliness, and functionality.
• Monitor and report security issues, hazards, or maintenance needs.
• Manage access control and escort contractors or visitors when required.
• Maintain logs and records of access, inspections, and incidents.
• Support WHS compliance, room setups, and site readiness tasks.
• Respond to alarms or other non routine security or facility events when on call.

Security and Facility Support Officer (Casual)

Apex Sentinel is seeking casual Security and Facility Support Officers who can step in when required to maintain secure, compliant, and functional office environments.

casual, intermittent role. Shifts are offered based on operational needs, planned absences, surge periods, and short notice requirements. Hours vary week to week. You may be asked to support weekday site coverage, after hours activity, or ad hoc tasking.

A rotating on-call function may also be offered at times to support alarm response and non routine facility access.

Clearance: TSPV required

Type: Casual

Rate: ~$75 per hour + applicable restriction allowances
