Job summary

FinXL is seeking a Google Cloud Engineer - Google Workspace (GW) to join our consulting team on a 12+ months Government contract in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra or Adelaide. You will focus on hands-on deployment and secure Google Workspace configurations within air-gapped hyperscale environments, contributing to federal project delivery.

Australian citizenship is mandatory; NV1/NV2 clearance is preferred, with sponsorship available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

Hands-on Cloud Engineer background with practical deployment experience.
Experience configuring Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Google Workspace.
Strong understanding of secure, compliant cloud infrastructure and access management.
Must be an Australian citizen; NV1/NV2 clearance preferred; sponsorship available for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities

Implement, configure, and maintain secure Google Workspace apps within complex cloud environments.
Deploy scalable infrastructure, networking components, and access controls for air-gapped systems.
Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate cloud services and collaboration tools.
Execute hands-on technical work to resolve issues and optimize performance.
Enforce security governance to protect data under federal guidelines.
Support project rollouts across national sites and initial deployment activities.
Contribute to long-term technology roadmaps with high-quality configuration docs.
