Job summary

Chairo Christian School in Pakenham seeks a Head of Teaching & Learning (Secondary) to commence January 2027. This full-time/part-time role combines teaching load for Years 7–12 with leadership responsibilities, including mentoring staff and guiding curriculum aligned to Christ-centred education.

The appointee will work under the Principal to ensure high-quality teaching and strong campus partnerships while upholding safety and faith-based values.

Qualifications

• Registered with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
• Experience in educational leadership or as a senior teacher.
• Strong knowledge of current educational practices from a Christian worldview.
• Ability to build partnerships and communicate with campus community.
• Post-graduate qualifications desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead educational leadership for Years 7–12 at the Pakenham campus.
• Mentor staff and model Christ-centred teaching practice.
• Support the Principal in delivering high-quality education.
• Foster positive relationships with families and staff.
• Oversee teaching quality, assessment and curriculum implementation.
