St Peter's Catholic College, Tuggerah is seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher for Years 7–12 to deliver engaging learning experiences and inspire a love of science. This is a temporary full-time position from 12 October 2026 to 27 January 2027, with preference given to applicants qualified to teach two science disciplines.

Qualifications

• Highly effective, skilled classroom practitioner committed to the ethos of the Catholic School.
• A deep commitment to safeguarding as everyone's responsibility and prioritising child safety.
• Capacity to contribute to the school’s Continuous Improvement Cycle and is committed to student achievement.
• Proven ability to apply sound pedagogical practices to create a motivating and engaging learning environment that caters to the needs of all learners.
• Skilled in analysing and reflecting on student learning data to ensure learning growth for all students.
• Highly effective in managing and facilitating safe and supportive learning environments with an understanding of positive student welfare practices.
• Willingness to contribute to the broader extracurricular aspects of school life as an active member of the school community.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic professional learning community.
• Proficient in the use of technology to enhance student learning.
• Hold a valid Working with Children Check
• Must be a 4-year trained teacher
