Job summary

Casella Family Brands is seeking Vintage Laboratory Assistants to support our winemaking team during the 2027 grape harvest in Yenda. This hands-on seasonal opportunity welcomes applicants from across Australia and around the world to join our vibrant vintage team. You’ll perform routine sampling and analysis, test grape samples, and monitor ferments.

No experience? A great attitude and willingness to learn count; winery or hospitality backgrounds are a bonus.

Qualifications

• Physically fit and ready to roll up your sleeves.
• Able to work shifts and weekends.
• Your own reliable transport.
• Available for the full vintage period (End of January to April 2027).
• At least 18 years old by 31 January 2027.
• Nice to have: Previous experience in a laboratory environment.
• Nice to have: Previous winery experience.

Responsibilities

• Routine sampling and analysis of tanks.
• Testing grape samples.
• Monitoring ferments for Baume, Temperature, YAN, pH, TA, Alcohol, G+F, Malo
