Job summary

The Social Services Regulator in Victoria seeks an Initial Assessment Officer on a fixed-term basis to conduct preliminary assessments of WWC Check and NDIS Worker Screening applications and clearance holders with relevant findings.

You will provide legislative support to the operational teams and perform data research, analysis, and quality assurance across cases, engaging with diverse stakeholders to clarify information.

Qualifications

• The role involves preliminary assessment of WWC Check and NDIS Worker Screening applications and re-assessments.
• Providing legislative support to the operations team and contributing to quality assurance across the unit.
• Engaging with a range of stakeholders in written and verbal formats to seek and clarify information.

Responsibilities

• Undertake accurate and timely initial assessments of WWC Check and NDIS Worker Screening applications and reassessments.
• Manage databases requirements for initial assessments.
• Communicate with applicants and clearance holders regarding WWC Check and NDIS applications and reassessments.
• Collate data and statistics and assist with data analysis and performance reporting.
• Prioritise and manage individual workloads in a time-sensitive environment.
• Liaise with external agencies (Corrections, Victoria Police, Courts) and internal Legal Services to obtain relevant information for evaluation and assessment.
