Job summary

Evolve Scientific in Melbourne's southeast suburbs is seeking a Science Student to join the QA/QC team on a casual contract covering October to December, with day and night shifts. You will perform sampling, QC testing of materials and finished products, batch release tasks, and data entry in a food/beverage manufacturing environment.

Ideal candidates are 2nd or 3rd year Food Science or Chemistry undergrads with GMP knowledge, strong analytical skills, and good time management.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student in 2nd/3rd year of Food Science or Chemistry.
• Good GMP knowledge and chemistry analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and time management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Collect samples from manufacturing line.
• QC testing of raw materials and finished products using basic wet chemistry.
• Assist with batch release and sensory evaluations.
• Data entry and result compilation.
• Check and fill quality paperwork.
• Maintain lab housekeeping and GMP standards.

Duties, but not limited to:

• Collecting samples from manufacturing line
• QC testing of raw materials and finished products using basic wet chemistry techniques (titrations, pH, brix, HPLC)
• Batch release
• Assisting with sensory evaluations
• Data entry and result compilation
• Check and fill-in quality paperwork
• General housekeeping and maintenanceof lab
• Ensure GMP standards

Skills/experience:

• Currently in 2nd or 3rd year studyingFood science, Chemistry, or similar
• Good understanding of GMP and chemistry analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills and time management
• Must have a car
• Available to work across day and night shifts
