The NSW Department of Education invites applications for a School Psychologist based at Monaro High School. You will provide counselling and psychological assessments for students, supporting learning and wellbeing and collaborating with teachers, families and external agencies to enhance student outcomes.

You will be part of a multidisciplinary school counselling team, receive supervision and opportunities for ongoing professional development, and benefit from a comprehensive package including

Qualifications

• Knowledge of and commitment to Aboriginal Education Policy and DEI strategy.
• General or Provisional Psychology Registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
• WWCC clearance for working with children (NSW).
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel between work sites.
• Australian citizenship or permanent residency.

Responsabilités

• Provide counselling and psychological services to students, individually and in groups.
• Engage with the Professional Practice Framework for NSW School Counselling Service.
• Collaborate with school leaders and support services to improve wellbeing outcomes.
• Contribute to social, emotional, and academic development of students.
• Administer cognitive, social, emotional and behavioural assessments and report results.
• Work with families and external agencies to develop school-based support.
• Respond to serious incidents as part of a team.
• Refer students to appropriate agencies for health and wellbeing support.
