Job summary

Department of Education Victoria invites applications for a psychologist to provide high-level psychology support to school-aged students, enhancing learning and wellbeing across multiple schools. The role entails delivering advanced wellbeing interventions and coordinating student support within a multidisciplinary team.

The successful candidate will offer authoritative professional advice on student wellbeing, liaise with community services, and contribute to policy development and staff

Qualifications

• Provide expert consultation to schools, healthcare providers and families on evidence-based, best practices for speech and language development and intervention.
• Knowledge of student wellbeing issues and disability inclusion; experience working with schools.
• Experience developing and implementing programs, procedures and policies that foster resilience in children and young people to support educational needs.
• Full registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

Responsibilities

• Providing high level psychology support services to school age students to improve student learning.
• Undertaking advanced wellbeing interventions that support students and schools.
• Assisting the coordination of student support services within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Collaborating with and providing advice to other student support services team members in respect to complex cases.
• Contributing to the professional development of other psychologist support service team members.
