Job summary

Girrakool School, Kariong on the NSW Central Coast, part of the NSW Department of Education, seeks a maintenance worker to support routine upkeep of a Departmental School and grounds. You will assist with furniture/setup, report safety issues, and participate in store/distribution of supplies.

The role is 0.4 FTE (two days per week) and serves male students aged 15–21 who are custodial, within the Frank Baxter Youth Justice Centre (YJC) environment.

Qualifications

• Good planning and prioritising skills.
• Good communication skills to work effectively with others.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and upkeep of a Departmental School/grounds.
• Assist with setup and removal of furniture and equipment for school activities.
• Identify and report maintenance and safety issues.
• Receive, store and distribute supplies and monitor equipment and report faults.
