Job summary

Queensland Government in Nanango, QLD seeks a Head of Departments to provide instructional leadership, build collaborative teams and translate school priorities into improvements in student learning and engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience leading curriculum, teaching and learning
• Experience in senior schooling or student services and support

Responsibilities

• Lead the school department in developing and implementing a shared educational vision that promotes quality learning outcomes for all students.
• Embed socially just and inclusive practices while maintaining high standards of performance, accountability and achievement for students and staff.
• Demonstrate a commitment to lifelong learning, continuous professional development and reflective leadership.
• Build strong partnerships with students, parents, government agencies and community groups to support student learning and strengthen school-community relationships.
• Provide strategic, future-focused leadership by ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies, and effectively managing human, financial, facilities and curriculum resources to achieve departmental goals.
