Job summary

St Francis Xavier College is a large 7-12 Catholic secondary school in Canberra seeking a Canteen Assistant on a temporary contract to cover leave. The role focuses on welcoming and efficient food service, including preparation, cooking and serving beverages, while maintaining hygiene and safe work practices.

You will work with staff, students and volunteers, manage stock, receive deliveries and ensure presentation-ready serving areas.

Qualifications

• WWVP clearance required.
• Accreditation per Catholic Education Canberra and Goulburn policy.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation, cooking and serving of food and beverages, including hot and cold drinks.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic work environment in the canteen.
• Support daily canteen operations through stock management, deliveries, and restocking.
