Job summary

Horizons West Bus & Coachlines is seeking dedicated Bus Operators to join our School Bus Services team, transporting students safely between pick-up points and schools. Casual roles span Welshpool, Landsdale and Mandurah depots, with a preference for staying on the same school run throughout the term.

You will work with Bus Aides, parents and school staff to uphold high standards of safety and service reliability, with split morning/afternoon shifts during the school year.

Qualifications

• Commitment to student safety and care.
• Able to remain calm in challenging situations.
• Reliable and punctual for morning and afternoon services.
• Capable of independent and team work.
• Must meet Western Australian licensing and safety requirements.
• Basic computer and tablet literacy.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate an SBS school bus on scheduled services.
• Transport students between locations and schools per routes.
• Provide a calm, patient, professional service to students, parents and staff.
• Support safe transport of students with disability and neurodivergent students.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip checks and report defects.
• Adhere to SBS procedures, road rules and company policies.
