Job summary

Trinity College in Adelaide seeks a flexible, safety‑minded bus driver for casual, school‑hour routes across Northern and Southern Adelaide. You will ensure passenger safety, maintain a clean, mechanically sound bus, and engage with students throughout daily runs.

Applicants must hold an unrestricted MR/HR/HC licence, Large Passenger Vehicle Accreditation, WWCC, RRHAN-EC, and a First Aid certificate. The role requires availability during school terms and holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience driving large buses on busy metropolitan roads.
• Current driver’s licence without restriction and MR/HR/HC license.
• Large Passenger Vehicle Accreditation.
• Working with Children Check (WWCC).
• RRHAN-EC Fundamentals Certificate for risk awareness in education settings.
• First Aid Certificate (training supplied).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage professionally with students and staff.
• Ability to adhere to a schedule and meet timeframes.
• Flexible approach to working a range of hours to accommodate school travel.
• Able to work during school holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain passenger safety at all times, obeying traffic laws and college policies.
• Keep the bus clean and mechanically sound; promptly report faults.
• Engage with students boarding and alighting the bus, providing mobility assistance as needed.
• Conduct daily safety inspections (oil, water, tyres) to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Refuel the bus and prepare it for the next driver.
