Job summary
Sydney Water is seeking an experienced SAP specialist to lead implementation and security of SAP solutions powering our operations. You will work with S/4HANA, SAP HANA, and SAP Cloud technologies to ensure secure, efficient system performance.
Responsibilities include system administration, security, backups, upgrades and migrations, as well as collaboration with cross‑functional teams to meet business needs and audits.
Qualifications
- 8+ years hands-on SAP delivery and operations.
- Expertise in SAP On-Prem and Cloud environments.
- Experience with SAP HANA/Oracle databases.
- Familiarity with SAP BTP, S4HANA, SAC, and Microsoft Azure.
- Degree in IT or Computer Science.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain SAP systems, including SAP Solution Manager, SAP Landscape Management (SAP LAMA), S4, BTP, SAP Identity Management (SAP IDM), SAP Enterprise Threat Detection (SAP ETD) and SAP HANA.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and apply patches and upgrades as needed.
- Ensure high availability and reliability of SAP systems.
- Support and use of non-SAP products like ARIS, SNOW, EPI-USE are part of the role.
- Implement and maintain data and system security best practices.
- Coordinate system transports across SAP environments and ensure proper documentation.
- Execute SAP system upgrades and migrations.
- Maintain disaster recovery procedures and regular testing.
- Collaborate with functional teams, developers, and business users to understand requirements and provide technical support.
