Job summary

Peoplebank Australia QLD is seeking an SAP Accounts Payable SME / Solution Architect to lead design across AP and P2P within a large SAP S/4HANA environment. You will partner with senior stakeholders and delivery teams to ensure architecture governance and successful platform delivery.

You will bring extensive AP-FI experience, strong S/4HANA transformation exposure, and the ability to review partner designs, drive integrations, and shape the AP strategy for a global mining client.

Qualifications

• Extensive SAP Finance experience with Accounts Payable (FI-AP).
• Proven track record delivering SAP S/4HANA transformation programs.
• Strong knowledge of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and invoice management processes.
• Experience validating or challenging solution designs from implementation partners and SI teams.
• Able to influence technical and business stakeholders and lead design decisions.
• Senior SAP professional with architecture capability and leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Act as the design authority for SAP Accounts Payable solutions.
• Provide architecture oversight and design assurance for SAP S/4HANA finance capabilities.
• Review, challenge, and validate solution designs produced by delivery partners and system integrators.
• Ensure integration between SAP and related platforms including invoice management and procurement.
• Drive best-practice outcomes across AP, invoice processing, approvals, and vendor management.
• Support solution governance, risk management, security, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with business, architecture, delivery, and vendor teams to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions.
• Contribute to strategic roadmap planning and continuous improvement initiatives.

Principal Advisor - Platform Design & Delivery (SAP Accounts Payable) | Global Mining Organisation | 12 Month Contract

We are seeking an experienced SAP Accounts Payable SME / Solution Architect to join a major enterprise transformation program. Working within a large-scale SAP S/4HANA environment, you will provide design leadership, architecture assurance, and functional expertise across Accounts Payable and Procure-to-Pay processes.

This is an opportunity to influence strategic technology decisions, partner with senior stakeholders, and ensure the successful delivery of a modern finance platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the design authority for SAP Accounts Payable solutions.
• Provide architecture oversight and design assurance for SAP S/4HANA finance capabilities.
• Review, challenge, and validate solution designs produced by delivery partners and system integrators.
• Ensure integration between SAP and associated platforms including invoice management and procurement solutions.
• Drive best-practice outcomes across AP, invoice processing, approval workflows, and vendor management.
• Support solution governance, risk management, security, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with business, architecture, delivery, and vendor teams to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions.
• Contribute to strategic roadmap planning and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

You are a senior SAP professional with a strong blend of functional expertise, architecture capability, and stakeholder engagement skills.

You will bring

• Extensive experience within SAP Finance, particularly Accounts Payable (FI-AP).
• Proven experience delivering or supporting SAP S/4HANA transformation programs.
• Strong knowledge of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and invoice management processes.
• Experience with OpenText Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) or similar AP automation solutions.
• Exposure to SAP Ariba, SAP Business Network, or procurement platforms.
• Experience reviewing and assuring solution designs from implementation partners.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence technical and business stakeholders.
• Experience operating at Lead Consultant, Architect, Principal Consultant, or Design Authority level.
