Job summary

WorkPac Group in Emerald is seeking a Saleyard Officer to support daily operations at the Emerald Saleyards. You will assist with livestock handling, coordinating saleyard activities and liaising with team members and stakeholders to ensure safe, efficient operations.

The role is casual, part-time with afternoon shifts and rotating weekend on-call coverage. The ideal candidate has livestock operations experience, saleyard knowledge and a Queensland C-class provisional licence.

Qualifications

• Experience in livestock operations and saleyard functions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and saleyard software.
• Queensland C-class provisional driver's licence required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the day-to-day operations of the Emerald Saleyards.
• Support livestock handling, movement and management in accordance with procedures.
• Use saleyard software and technology to manage tasks and records.
• Work collaboratively with team members, livestock operators and stakeholders.
• Help maintain safe and efficient saleyard operations.
• Participate in rotating weekend on-call coverage as required.
