Flight Centre is hiring Sales Travel Consultants in Australia. You will plan itineraries, book travel, and convert enquiries into bookings in person, over the phone, and by email. The role offers a base wage plus uncapped incentives and requires sales-driven performance across a rotating 7-day roster.

You’ll build a loyal customer base, assist with visas and travel tips, and work in a fast-paced, outcome-focused retail environment while earning strong, uncapped commissions.

Responsibilities

• Plan itineraries and book travel for customers, converting enquiries into bookings.
• Sell the full range of travel products (flights, accommodation, car hire, tours, insurance, cruises).
• Build a customer base of new and returning travelers from domestic and international bookings.
• Assist customers with travel questions including visas, best times to travel, packing and destinations.
• Handle inquiries in person, over the phone, and via email.
• Operate across on-site retail stores on a rotating 7-day roster.

What you’ll be doing - where your passion will meet purpose!

Work full-time, on-site in one of our retail stores on a rotating roster across a 7-day trade

Plan itineraries, book travel and convert enquiries into bookings in person, over the phone and via email for our customers

Work towards individual KPIs and sales targets where you’ll sell the whole holiday including flights, accommodation, car hire, tours, travel insurance, cruises, transfers and more

Build a customer base of new and returning customers from regular domestic bookings to lavish international holidays and everything in between

Be the expert! Assist our customers with their travel related questions including visas, best time of year to travel, what to pack, where to eat, what to avoid, you name it!

Enjoy a base wage plus an uncapped incentive payment structure where you earn a percentage of every sale, your pay is completely uncapped!

What we’re looking for - do you have the travel bug?

You’re a seasoned traveller with a history of international destinations (and even more on your bucket list!) and you’re the go-to person in your circle for travel recommendations, tips and tricks

Great organisational skills - you’re the type to take notes, manage your calendar well and are quick to respond to your customer’s phone calls and emails

Determination to meet your sales targets and KPIs while balancing your workload in a high-pressure environment (think customers lining up, phones ringing, email inbox filling!)

Enthusiasm, passion and a warmth that makes our customers want to book with you every time!

A savviness with computers, ready to toggle between various complex systems when finding the right flight and package options for your customer

We'll boost your wage to $65K equivalent for your first 90 days while you learn the ropes! Average earnings for a Travel Consultant in their first year are $70K, while Senior Consultants average $100K and Team Leaders average $138K annually - including superannuation and penalty rates.
