Randstad has partnered with a leading industrial client to find an experienced Area Manager to manage and grow their customer base across the key Central Queensland locations of Gladstone, Rockhampton, and Mackay.

About the Role

This is a dynamic, autonomous field‑based role where you will be responsible for driving sales and building long‑lasting relationships within the industrial sector. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Manage & grow the existing customer base within your assigned territory.
  • Identify and convert new sales opportunities aligned with business sales plans.
  • Conduct regular cold calling (in‑person and by phone) to increase awareness of the product range and establish yourself as the lead point of contact.
  • Build & strengthen relationships with existing and potential customers, including attending customer events, trade shows, and conferences.
  • Prepare quotes for hire and support tender submissions.
  • Communicate effectively with the branch team to support sales activity and ensure exceptional customer service is delivered.
  • Maintain accurate client data in the CRM system.
