Job summary

Discount Lighting and Fans on the Sunshine Coast is seeking a friendly Sales and Warehouse Assistant to join our growing team. This full-time role combines customer service with light warehouse duties and offers room to grow within the business.

You’ll help customers with lighting and fan solutions, process transactions at the till, keep the store inviting, and support the team to hit sales targets. Training and development are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience is preferred but not essential.
• Strong communication and people skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Physically capable of lifting and moving stock.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming customers and providing tailored advice on lighting and fan solutions.
• Driving sales and ensuring a positive customer experience.
• Processing transactions accurately with the point-of-sale system.
• Keeping the store well-presented, stocked, and visually appealing.
• Handling customer queries, returns, and concerns professionally.
• Assisting with basic warehouse duties when needed.
• Collaborating with the team to hit sales targets.

What You'll Be Doing

• Welcoming customers and providing tailored advice on lighting and fan solutions
• Driving sales and ensuring every customer has a positive experience
• Using point-of-sale systems to process transactions accurately
• Keeping the store well-presented, stocked, and visually appealing
• Handling customer queries, returns, and concerns professionally
• Assisting with basic warehouse duties when needed
• Collaborating with your team to hit sales targets and support each other

What We're Looking For

• Retail or customer service experience (preferred but not essential)
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Physically capable of lifting and moving stock
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow
• Happy to work up to 38 hours a week over 5 shifts - we're open 7 days, so your roster could include weekdays or weekends
