Descrição da vaga

Troocoo are proud to be partnering with a purpose-led organisation, who operate within a highly regulated and people-focused environment, where the health, safety and wellbeing of employees is genuinely central to how the organisation operates.

This is an opportunity to join an established People & Strategy function and play a key role in strengthening workplace health, safety and wellbeing practices across the organisation. You’ll work alongside experienced specialists and leaders to deliver practical initiatives, manage complex matters and build capability across the business.

About the role

Reporting to the Manager, Safety & Wellbeing, you’ll provide specialist advice and support across a broad range of workplace health, safety and wellbeing matters.

  • Providing trusted advice on WHS, wellbeing, risk management and safe work practices
  • Leading and supporting the delivery of WHS, health and wellbeing programs and initiatives
  • Managing workplace incidents, hazards and psychosocial risk assessments, identifying contributing factors and practical controls
  • Supporting complex health, safety and wellbeing matters, including psychological injury, psychosocial risk and recovery-at-work considerations
  • Using safety, incident, hazard and wellbeing data to identify trends, emerging risks and opportunities for improvement
  • Supporting the development of a proactive safety and wellbeing culture through practical education, coaching and capability building
  • Coordinating key governance activities including WHS committees, emergency preparedness and corrective action processes
  • Partnering with leaders and internal stakeholders to embed effective risk management and psychologically healthy workplace practices
  • Contributing to the ongoing improvement of safety systems, processes and contemporary workplace health and wellbeing practices

This is a hands-on role where your ability to combine technical expertise with practical, people-focused solutions will be highly valued.

About you

You’ll be an experienced health, safety and wellbeing professional who enjoys working across both the technical and people sides of the function.

You will ideally bring:

  • Experience in workplace health and safety, wellbeing or a related discipline, with experience managing complex WHS matters
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in WHS, Occupational Health & Safety, Psychology, Human Resources, Health Science or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of Queensland WHS legislation, psychosocial risk requirements and contemporary safety and wellbeing frameworks
  • Experience implementing or maintaining safety management systems, ideally with exposure to ISO 45001 and/or ISO 45003
  • Strong investigation, audit, risk assessment and hazard management capability
  • Experience working with psychosocial risks and supporting psychologically healthy workplaces
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and turn insights into practical recommendations
  • Highly developed communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to work with stakeholders at all levels
  • A collaborative and pragmatic approach, with the ability to coach leaders and employees and build capability
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of quality, governance and professional judgement
Why join?

This is an opportunity to join an organisation where safety, wellbeing and positive outcomes for people are closely connected to its broader purpose.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Make a genuine impact on the health, safety and wellbeing of a diverse workforce
  • Work across a broad portfolio rather than being limited to one area of WHS
  • Influence leaders and help shape a proactive, contemporary safety and wellbeing culture
  • Work alongside experienced specialists within a collaborative People & Strategy environment
  • Contribute to meaningful programs and initiatives that have a tangible impact across the organisation
  • Continue to develop your expertise across WHS, psychosocial risk, wellbeing and organisational capability

If you’re looking for a role where your technical expertise, judgement and ability to positively influence people can make a real difference, this could be an excellent next step.
