Job summary

Junction Support Services in Victoria is seeking a part-time Occupational Health & Safety specialist to lead safety initiatives and support injury management. You will partner with managers and staff to strengthen safety culture and ensure compliant, effective return-to-work processes.

The role balances hands-on risk assessments, policy development and wellbeing conversations, with flexible options to work from Morwell or Bairnsdale offices.

Qualifications

• Experience in OHS, Injury Management and Return to Work.
• Strong knowledge of legislation, safety systems and return-to-work processes.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support OHS initiatives that strengthen safety culture across the organisation
• Provide proactive safety advice to managers and staff, including risk management and incident prevention
• Coordinate and manage the Return to Work process for work-related and non-work-related injuries
• Work collaboratively with employees, leaders, treating practitioners, and insurers to support safe, sustainable return-to-work outcomes
• Conduct workplace inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits
• Support the development and review of OHS policies, procedures, and training
• Monitor incident trends and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain accurate OHS and injury management records and reporting
• Facilitate wellbeing conversations and early intervention strategies
• Promote compliance with the OHS Act, Regulations, and organisational standards
