In this role, you'll:

Work as part of a regional team assisting in the delivery of network solutions to improve safety, optimise network performance, and support road safety and traffic management programs across the region.

This role will see you assist with developing network solutions, support safety and traffic investigations, contribute to road safety reviews and speed zone assessments, respond to stakeholder enquiries, and help deliver consistent, evidence based decision making.

You will support improved safety, operational and customer outcomes while managing competing priorities, building your technical capability, and collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders and disciplines.

This role covers the New England region, spanning from Singleton to the Queensland border. With Tamworth, Newcastle or Grafton being the preferred locations to be based.

About You

You have experience in civil engineering, traffic management, transport planning, road safety or a related discipline, supported by strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

You can interpret data, contribute to investigations and technical reports, and communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders. Your ability to organise and prioritise work, collaborate across teams, and deliver quality outcomes will help you succeed in this role

An emerging safety and traffic professional, with an interest in improving road safety and network performance. You enjoy working with data to solve problems, building positive stakeholder relationships, and contributing to projects that deliver practical outcomes for communities across the region.
