Base pay range

A$170,000.00/yr - A$200,000.00/yr

Safety Manager Opportunity

Are you an experienced Safety Manager with a passion for building a strong safety culture? Do you thrive in a dynamic environment and want to be a key driver of safety on major civil infrastructure projects? Our client, a well-renowned and established business operating across the East Coast of Australia, is seeking a highly motivated Safety Manager to work closely with the National Safety Lead to implement safety strategies across the business.

About the Role:

As the Safety Manager, you will be responsible for managing and fostering a positive safety culture across multiple civil construction projects. You will lead by example, ensuring all health and safety standards are met while supporting teams on-site to uphold best practices in safety.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining safety systems and procedures across multiple sites.
  • Conducting regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
  • Providing leadership and guidance to site teams to foster a strong safety culture.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation and regulations.
  • Delivering safety training and toolbox talks to site workers.
  • Investigating incidents and accidents to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
  • Reporting safety performance metrics to senior management.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Proven experience in a Safety Manager or HSE role within civil infrastructure or construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • A proactive and hands-on approach to managing safety on-site.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and influence all levels of the workforce.
  • Relevant qualifications in health and safety (e.g., Cert IV in Workplace Health and Safety or equivalent).
  • A commitment to building and maintaining a positive and supportive safety culture.
