Job summary

Woolworths Group is seeking a Safety Lead - Assurance and Systems to drive safety improvements across Primary Connect. You will partner with operations, national support teams and senior leadership to embed risk management and robust safety frameworks within a dynamic national network.

The role is VIC or NSW based with travel; you will coach teams, conduct risk assessments, and lead continuous improvement in safety systems and governance across the business.

Qualifications

• Formal WHS/OHS qualifications and Lead Auditor certification.
• Experience in safety disciplines with risk management and system assurance.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and trend-analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead continuous improvement of the Primary Connect Safety Management System.
• Conduct risk assessments across project phases and implement controls.
• Research new technologies and drive innovative safety solutions.
• Coach teams to ensure compliance with laws and internal standards.
• Develop safety training with National Training Team.
• Support and administer Safety, Health & Wellbeing systems and contracts.
• Deliver assurance and governance programs and close non-conformities.
• Partner with Transport Safety to conduct external- party assurance.
