Job summary

Hilton Foods is seeking a Safety & Wellbeing Partner to join our Heathwood site. The role delivers a comprehensive framework across the employee and production lifecycle, driving a strong safety culture and coordinated wellbeing initiatives.

You will develop and implement safety programs, manage incidents and WorkCover, analyse key metrics and educate staff at all levels to ensure regulatory compliance and continuous improvement across the business.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Cert IV in Safety or related discipline required.
• Experience in manufacturing or FMCG desirable.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Experience with Injury Management.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with conflicting priorities.
• Understanding of Safety Management Systems desirable.
• Training, presentation, coaching and facilitation skills desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing safety & wellbeing frameworks and initiatives aligned with HFAPAC strategic plan and regulatory compliance.
• Undertake reporting and analysis on safety & wellbeing metrics.
• Develop and deliver educational materials to employees at all levels.
• Lead management of workplace incidents, WorkCover, and return-to-work programs.
• Manage risks and hazards; review and implement programs, tools and reports to improve safety outcomes.
• Contribute to wellbeing programs and initiatives.
• Provide oversight on plant transport safety issues and align with strategic direction.

About the role

A exciting opportunity has arisen for a Safety & Wellbeing Partner to join the Hilton Foods Team! Based at our Heathwood site, the successful candidate will ensure the delivery of a comprehensive framework across the business at all stages of the employee and production lifecycle, as well as driving a strong culture through all levels of the Company. The S&W team bring this vision to life by ensuring a consistent, coordinated and harmonised approach to the delivery and management of S&W. This includes:

• Assist in the development & implementation of frameworks, initiatives & programs which align with S&W components of HFAPAC strategic plan, & ensure compliance with all relevant legislation;
• Undertake reporting & analysis on key S&W metrics;
• Assist with the development & delivery of educational materials to employees at all levels of the organisation;
• Lead the effective management of workplace incidents, WorkCover and return to work programs;
• Ensure the effective management of risks & hazards, including review, development & implementation of necessary programs, tools & reports to improve safety outcomes;
• Contribute to the development & implementation of wellbeing programs & initiatives.
• Provide oversight and support in plant transport related safety issues and activities and align with strategical direction

About you

• Diploma / Cert IV in Safety and/or related discipline
• Experience in manufacturing/FMCG industry (Food manufacturing experience is highly regarded).
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
• Experience in Injury Management
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with conflicting priorities
• Understanding of Safety Management Systems desirable
• Training, presentation, coaching and facilitation skills (desirable)
