Safety Advisor - Data Centre Construction

Overview

The Safety Advisor for Kapitol Groups Construction team will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and compliance of data centre building projects on-site. This position involves developing, implementing and monitoring safety programs to prevent accidents, injuries and health issues. The Safety Advisor will work closely with project management and site teams to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement ensuring all safety protocols and regulations are adhered to within the high‑risk environment of data centre construction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Risk Assessment – Conduct thorough risk assessments specific to data centre construction to identify potential hazards and implement control measures to mitigate risks.
  • Safety Training – Develop and deliver tailored safety training programs to employees and subcontractors focusing on the unique challenges of data centre projects.
  • Incident Reporting – Investigate incidents, near‑misses and accidents and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Safety Audits & Inspections – Perform regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with Kapitol Groups safety policies and legislative requirements.
  • Documentation Control – Maintain accurate records of safety audits, training sessions and incident reports ensuring all documentation is up‑to‑date and accessible.
  • Quality Assurance – Ensure that all safety procedures and policies are aligned with industry best practices and Kapitol Groups standards.
  • Communication – Provide clear and effective communication on safety matters to all levels of the organisation ensuring that safety is a top priority on‑site.
