Job summary

North and West Remote Health (NWRH) is seeking a Speech Pathologist to support clients across rural Queensland from Mount Isa or Townsville clinics. You will assess and treat speech, language and swallowing difficulties, develop tailored plans and work with families within a multidisciplinary team.

The role offers flexible arrangements including full-time or part-time, permanent or fixed-term contracts, with outreach travel and a support-focused work environment.

Qualifications

• Registered with Speech Pathology Australia or eligible
• Bachelor of Speech Pathology or equivalent
• QLD Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening clearance
• Current unrestricted C class Australian Driver’s Licence
• Right to live and work in Australia

Responsibilities

• Assess speech, language, communication and swallowing needs across a diverse client caseload
• Deliver evidence-based therapy to support client goals, independence and wellbeing
• Develop tailored treatment plans for children, adults and families
• Collaborate with allied health teams, families and community partners to deliver holistic care
• Provide outreach services to rural and remote communities across North Queensland
