Job summary

The role focuses on delivering therapeutic support to adults within the Medicare Mental Health Centre and involves triage, assessment, and referrals.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in an Allied Mental Health discipline and current registration with a professional association and/or AHPRA.
• Experience in the mental health sector and knowledge of case management, care coordination and evidence-based intervention.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic support and interventions to adults (18–65) with mental health needs.
• Conduct case formulation and thorough assessments to guide care.
• Provide counselling and evidence-based interventions in various formats (brief, moderate, extended, group).
• Monitor and manage client risk factors.
• Take accurate case notes and adhere to quality frameworks.
• Collaborate with other allied health professionals for referrals and outreach.
• Participate in community events and advocacy to improve centre accessibility.
