Job summary

Barham Health Service, part of NSW Health, is seeking a Staff Specialist or Visiting Medical Officer to deliver general practice and procedural care in Barham. You will provide broad clinical services across inpatient and community settings, with flexible rosters and on‑call commitments.

This rural role offers collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, teaching opportunities, relocation support and a supportive regional lifestyle in Barham near the Murray River.

Qualifications

• A primary medical degree registrable with AHPRA.
• Fellowship of RACGP/ACRRM/RACP or overseas trained pathways.
• Minimum three years post-graduate clinical experience with rural/GP focus.

Responsibilities

• Provide admitting, consultative, diagnostic, procedural, and on‑call GP services as required by MLHD.
• Participate in teaching, supervision, and clinical handover to ensure continuity of care.
• Support clinicians with education and quality improvement initiatives across multiple disciplines.

Education
