Job summary

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced rural clinician to join the SA Rural Medical Program as a Rural Clinical Educator. Based in either Renmark or Victor Harbor, you will share your expertise through small-group teaching and mentoring, helping medical students learn within authentic rural healthcare and community settings.

This role is ideally suited to clinicians who are passionate about supporting the next generation of doctors while remaining connected to their local region

Qualifications

• Contemporary clinical experience in rural healthcare.
• Mentoring and supporting learners through small-group education.
• Excellent relationship-building with students, clinicians and partners.
• Commitment to advancing rural health outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging clinical teaching, skills training and simulation-based education to medical students.
• Facilitate small-group learning in authentic rural settings.
• Provide mentoring and academic support to students during rural training.
• Support clinical supervisors and strengthen partnerships across local health services.
