GP2Oz Ltd invites a Rural GP to join our team in Kilcoy, Queensland. You will provide primary healthcare, manage chronic diseases, and offer after-hours care in a tight-knit rural community.

The role emphasizes general consultation, minor procedures, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes. AHPRA-registered physicians with rural experience are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Medical degree from a recognized institution
• Current registration with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency)
• Minimum of 2 years’ GP experience, preferably in a rural setting
• Proficient in general practice procedures and emergency care
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities

• Conduct general consultations and provide comprehensive medical care to patients of all ages
• Manage and treat acute and chronic illnesses, including diabetes, hypertension, and respiratory conditions
• Perform minor procedures and basic emergency care
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans for patients
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
• Participate in on-call and after-hours roster as required
• Educate patients on preventive healthcare measures and promote healthy lifestyle choices
• Participate in continuing education and professional development activities
• Adhere to relevant medical standards, guidelines and protocols
