You will join Young Health Service as a VMO GP Hospitalist – Emergency/Ward, delivering comprehensive medical care across the Emergency Department, inpatient ward, and related clinics. The role involves on-call duties, leadership, and opportunity for procedural practice in obstetrics and anaesthetics in a vibrant rural community.

Lead ward rounds, supervise registrars and junior doctors, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care, while aligning with NSW Health

Qualifikationen

• MBBS or equivalent with Specialist GP registration or extensive senior experience in regional emergency medicine.
• Proven ability to manage acute and chronic conditions, perform urgent procedures, and lead resuscitation and trauma care.
• Commitment to clinical excellence, education, and quality improvement.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with a passion for mentoring and teamwork.
• Willingness to participate in on-call duties and support other MLHD sites as needed.

Aufgaben

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centred care in a dynamic rural setting.
• Lead daily ward rounds, manage admissions and discharges, and support emergency presentations.
• Supervise and mentor GP registrars, junior medical officers, and students.
• Collaborate with local GP VMOs and multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in an on-call roster and contribute to clinical leadership across the facility.
