Job summary

Health Workforce is assisting a rural Central Queensland general practice seeking a General Practitioner. You will deliver patient-centered primary care across ages, with duties spanning assessment, diagnosis, prescribing, chronic disease management and health promotion.

Join a supportive team of nurses and admin, with modern practice systems and flexible appointment scheduling. AHPRA-registered GPs with FRACGP/FACRRM and Medicare access are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Fellowship FRACGP or FACRRM is required.
• Current and unrestricted AHPRA registration is required.
• Demonstrated experience delivering high-quality, patient-centred primary healthcare.
• Current medical indemnity insurance is required.
• CPR/resuscitation certification current.
• Eligibility to obtain a Medicare Provider Number for the practice location.
• Valid authority to work in Australia.
• Sponsorship opportunities available for the right candidate already residing in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and treat patients across all ages.
• Prescribe medications and manage chronic conditions.
• Provide preventative healthcare and health promotion.
• Order and review diagnostic tests; refer to specialists as needed.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and comply with AHPRA and Medicare requirements.
