Job summary

Stoddart Group is seeking a Site Supervisor for roofing projects in Byron Bay. Move from on-tool roofing to leadership, overseeing residential sites and coordinating with builders and subcontractors on safety and quality.

You will work with our operations team to keep projects moving, manage inspections, and provide guidance while building strong relationships with key stakeholders. Relocation support is available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Roof Plumbing trade qualification required.
• Solid experience in roofing, ideally metal roofing, fascia and gutter.
• Understanding residential construction sites and how they operate.
• Capable of leading crews and coordinating with builders.

Responsibilities

About the Role

As a Site Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for overseeing roofing works across multiple residential building sites. You’ll work closely with builders, subcontractors and internal teams to make sure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Importantly, you won’t be doing it all alone. Our Operations and Administration teams provide the coordination, scheduling and administrative support, allowing you to focus on what you do best - leading crews, solving problems and keeping work moving on site.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Supervising roofing installers and subcontractors across residential sites
• Conducting pre-start, progress and post-installation inspections
• Completing site measures and assessing project requirementsChecking workmanship and ensuring quality standards are maintained
• Providing technical guidance and support to roofing crews
• Investigating and resolving site issues, defects and leak assessments
• Coordinating works with builders and other trades to minimise delays and rework
• Leading by example when it comes to safety and site compliance
• Keeping site records and systems up to date
• Building strong relationships with builders, contractors and key stakeholders

About You

You don't need to have been a Site Supervisor before. If you're an experienced roofer who's ready to take the next step, we'll help you make the transition.

We're looking for someone who:

• Holds a Roof Plumbing trade qualification
• Has solid experience in roofing, ideally metal roofing, fascia and gutter
• Understands residential construction sites and how they operate
• Is confident dealing with builders, subcontractors and customers
• Can identify problems and find practical solutions
• Takes pride in quality workmanship
• Communicates well and is comfortable taking the lead
• Has a strong safety mindset and positive attitude
• Holds a current White Card
